HS2 Ltd is turning to some of the country’s most innovative tech specialists to bolster the ongoing work to get HS2 back on track.

• The temporary display, located in the Museum’s ‘Presenting’ case tells the story of how the building of Britain’s railways, from Victorian pioneers to modern high-speed rail, has contributed to our understanding of geological history and the distant past.
• The display, entitled From ‘Flying Steed’ to High Speed: How Britain’s railway development has powered our geological and palaeontological understanding can be found in the Main Court of Oxford Museum of Natural History until the 26 October 2025. The museum is open daily from 10am – 5pm and admission is free.
