HS2’s West Midlands construction partner, Balfour Beatty VINCI (BBV), confirmed today (25th August) that it is joining forces with three more colleges to increase the number of industry placements it offers to T-Level students. From September, over 30 young people in Solihull, Dudley, Wolverhampton and Walsall will get to play a part in HS2’s construction as part of their studies.

It was a day of double celebrations for six Walsall College T-Level students who were among the first in the country to pass their Construction - Design, Surveying and Planning T-Level today (18 August) and celebrate with the news that they’ve secured a job on HS2.

• Alongside wider refurbishments, the 100-year old St Michael and All Angels Church Hall will be retro-fitted with electric vehicle charging points, LED lighting and electric water heaters.
