20 May 2022- HS2’s workforce increased by more than 2,000 in the last quarter, with the construction of Britain’s new railway now supporting a record 24,800 jobs.

HS2 completes first stage of 50 mile temporary access road in Bucks
18 May 2022HS2 has opened the first stage of a 50-mile-long (80km) temporary access road that will link construction sites across Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire and South Warwickshire and take pressure off local roads.

Community projects across Phase 2a of HS2 have received £120k funding this year
16 May 2022- A new report by independent charity Groundwork UK has revealed that HS2 has awarded £11.3 million funding to local community projects near their line of route.
- Groundwork UK are independent administrators of HS2’s Community & Environment Fund (CEF) and Business & Local Economy Fund (BLEF) programmes.
- This year the first four projects on HS2’s route between West Midlands and Crewe have received £119,463 of additional funding.

16 May 2022- A new report by independent charity Groundwork UK has revealed that HS2 has awarded £11.3 million funding to local community projects near their line of route.
- Groundwork UK are independent administrators of HS2’s Community & Environment Fund (CEF) and Business & Local Economy Fund (BLEF) programmes.
- This year six more projects in the West Midlands have received £360,219 of additional funding from HS2.
