HS2 and Hornby team up to celebrate 10 million tonne rail freight milestone with new model train
23 Jun 2023- HS2 has celebrated moving 10 million tonnes of material by rail by unveiling a new mini model of the ‘Green Progressor’ – the famous locomotive which is helping reduce transport emissions on HS2.

14 Jun 2023- The 125 metres long, 1,600 tonne tunnel boring machine will build HS2’s Bromford Tunnel in the West Midlands
- The name of the TBM was revealed as ‘Mary Ann’ – the real name of famous author George Eliot, born in Nuneaton, North Warwickshire
- The 3.5 mile tunnel will take high speed trains between Water Orton and Washwood Heath on their approach to Curzon Street Station in Birmingham
